Dear friends,
Can someone check this text, to see if there is any grammar mistake? That would be very helpful!

Dear friends! One more year in XXX is gone, and I would like to celebrate this event with all my friends.
So, let’s gather all together this Saturday for a Barbecue ! Which is the excuse?
My friend XXX got his master degree! Moreover, two friends of mine and I have our birthday !

(I already know, most of you will not be here because of the holidays)

Where and when?

day, place, adress,....

My friend, XXX, got his master's degree! Moreover, two friends of mine and I have our birthday on that day!

Change the text in red to, e.g., Do your best to be there.

Thank you very much! I do clearly have problems with the comma...
P.s. Was "What is the excuse?" correct?

It sounds odd to me, though it could work if meant ironically. What is the reason for it/Why are we having/holding it, etc, would work better for me.
