Why do we say "Customs officer " bot not "Banks officer" ? I mean why we say "bank officer" with no S at the end. quite the opposite we don't say Custom officer.

Who says "bank(s) officer"? I don't

We say bank officer NOT bankS officer. What do you say in this case?

Customs is a government agency responsible for collecting taxes or duties on imports. An example is the US Customs Service, whose agents are Customs Officers. There is no such thing as a banks officer, although we may refer to a bank officer or, less frequently, a bank's officer (i.e. an officer of a bank.)

I've never heard or used the phrase although clearly it exists. I would expect to hear:

Bank clerk
Bank teller
Bank worker
Bank employee

"Bank officer" usually refers to a higher level of bank employee: President, Vice-President, Branch manager, etc.
