Have I made any mistakes?
At a party, Gina started to chat with an attractive man in the hope of drawing him into conversation, but the man grimaced and told her that his arthritic knees gave him so much pain that he could hardly stand. This was off-putting because she didn't like an idea of having a relationship with someone she had to nurse in the future. He was not a catch anymore but rather someone who deserved pity.
