This is a compliment letter to an adoptive family, but what does "ascending from this home" mean? Is "this home" the adoptive family or the letter-sender family?

ex)With so many children in the world in need of a home, how wonderful that you have the supply of love to go and find three and take them to your heart! You two are special people, and now the parents of three daughters. How delighted we were to finally hear of Sui, Beth, and Wa Linn's successful trip from China! Your home must be overflowing with happiness, times three. We eagerly await hearing all about your wonderful new family, and we're so eager to meet the girls, We know it will take a while to get settled and work our a routine......In the meantime, there'll be many happy songs of praise ascending from this home, and many prayers of thanksgiving from the loving hearts of your extended family here.

The songs of praise are emanating from the writer's home and ascending to the place where God, presumably, can hear them.

There's some confusion as to is writing the letter, since:

"...you have the supply of love to go and find three and take them to your heart! You two are special people, and now the parents of three daughters."

Gives the impression that it is addressed to the adoptive family, while:

"...we're so eager to meet the girls."

Gives the impressioon that it is from the adoptive family. Perhaps is just a mistake and it should say:

"...we're so eager for you to meet the girls."

Could that be?

The songs come from the home of the adoptive family. There is a religious overtone to this as praise is ascending (reaching toward heaven - upward). If you still are unsure of the meaning, look up the meaning of ascend.

It's too confusing! If this home is the adoptive family, will they make compliment on themselve? or If this home is the writer's, it's not smoothly connected to "many prayers of thanksgiving".
Also, In "from the loving hearts of your extended family here", does loving heart mean the adopted children?

That's why I´ve forwarded my suggestion. My being right would meaning that the writers are the natural parents and now feel part of the extended family of the adoptive parents.

No, the letter is from someone in the extended family of the adoptive parents. The adoptive parents have: uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers, sisters, and so on. These people are called an extended family. The extended family are the ones who have the loving hearts.

Reread the entire text. See it as a letter from a family member. All of the comments are written by this extended family member.

Thanks a lot, but the praise can come from not within the family, but from the extended families or others. I can't still understand why praise can come from the adoptive family itself.

Thanks Riquecohen, better now. What was aiding to the confusion was the real mistake:

"We know it will take a while to get settled and work our a routine."

Instead of:

"We know it will take a while to get settled and work out a routine."

Cheers,

M.

Read Gillnetter's posts carefully. The praise is not coming from the adoptive family itself, but from some members of the adoptive family's extended family. BTW, I found the letter very moving.
