Are these sentences are proper for spoken English?

If I say something to someone who is older than me or someone I want to show my respect, which are proper expressions below?

A1.My brother spends ore time in the library than John does.
A2.My brother spends more tim in the library than does John.
B1.She was very religious, as most of her friends were.
B2.She was very religious, as most of her friends were very religious.
B3.She was very religious, as were most of her friends .

Is there any difference between B1 and B3? I guess that B3 is more common because that's what I'd say.

The longer the subject of 'does', the more likely I am to use inversion.

My brother spends more time in the library than John does.

My brother spends more time in the library than does the woman who is paid to be there.
