After discussing a topic, say "Tense", someone says:

1) A few example sentences related to "Tense" are given below. (I see it used more often)

2) A few example sentences related to "Tense" have been given below.

What is the difference between 1 and 2?

When discussing narratives, we usually use the simple present tense. Example: Superman arrives just in time to rescue Lassie from Snidely Whiplash.

Although that mainly applies to fiction, we do the same thing when mentioning the content within the a book, essay, or article. Example: Allergies are discussed in more detail in Chapter 12.

So #1 is more natural.
