Hello.

I started to use an English-English translator (I don't know how to call it).
Do you think it's better than an English-mother tongue translator?

I'm asking it because I'm translating Gulliver's Travels and my brain is about to blow.

I suppose you're teachers and you know what's better.
Thanks.

I don't know what to call it either. Why would you need to translate from English to English? That doesn't make sense.

Yep, I'm completely drunk (not literally).

I mean I have a translator that translates from English to English.

For instance:

I don't know what bridle is. I look up and read: Headgear for a horse; includes a headstall and bit and reins to give the rider or driver control.
Do you understand?

I found this advice in one video on Youtube. One teacher suggested it. Now I want to know your opinion.

That's a dictionary.

I think it is called a monolingual dictionary. It's a lot better to use it like that you avoid translation into your native language. which is not recommended while learning a new language.

Ok, I apologize for my mistake. It will not happen again.
