Alright, so I'm back in high school, I'm standing in the middle of the cafeteria, and I realize I am totally naked.

Alright, so I'm back in high school, I'm standing in the middle of the cafeteria, and I realize I am totally naked.
--------
Can we use these two sentences below instead of the above?

1)All right, so I'm back in high school, I stand in the middle of the cafeteria, and I realize I am totally naked.
2) All right, so I'm back in high school. I'm standing in the middle of the cafeteria, and I am realizing I am totally naked.

No to both.
1) All right, so I'm back in high school, I stand in the middle of the cafeteria, and I realize I am totally naked.

We use the simple present tense to tell a Story. So why is it wrong to use "I stand " here?

The use of the present simple in in that sentence implies move to a standing position.
