I have a tricky sentence for which I cannot determine the correct verb. Please help. The sentence is:
"Survey after survey in virtually every sector reveal/reveals a deep erosion in confidence in leadership...."

I'm thinking that it should be "reveal" because "survey after survey" would mean "more than one survey" or "all the surveys we've looked at", but I know that "after" is also a preposition and should be ignored when looking for agreement. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

Is this homework?

You said it.

In my opinion, "survey after survey" is singular.
