Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
A student must like a teacher in order to learn from the teacher
Essay:
Teachers are those who are in charge of maintaining an effective study for students in school. To have an effective class, students must also have a good impression of the teachers so that they can receive the lessons well.
Student’s preference of the teachers can affect the subject that the teacher is responsible for in class. As students already have a bad image of the teacher, they tend to ignore their lessons. This can lead to a lack of knowledge on that particular subject in which the student won’t receive the proper proportion of the lesson given by the teacher. In this situation, students will eventually get bad grades on their exams or homework.
Another effect is that it can influence the sense of respect for their teachers. When students don’t like the teacher who is teaching them, the will ignore the teacher and start to make a fuss in class. These kind of students will later get warnings or even punishments from the teacher. Students often get annoyed and rebel to the teacher’s command, which can aim to a declined in the act of respect to the teacher.
In conclusion, teachers can start improving their image, whether it’s their teaching aspects or even their personality. As students, we can start by doing our best not to let our unlikeness to a certain teacher affect our studies in school. Through this, it can increase the effective study environment in class, which is needed to create a more discipline students who respect their teachers and also produce students with excellent grades.
