Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"After thinking that he has made an important advance in his frantic search, he relaxed, leaning back in his armchair. From there he saw an old newspaper in which he remembered something that a friend told him some time ago, the fact that the new controlling group owner of the old theater wants to demolish it to build a new building."

Thanks.

Then he read in an old newspaper something that reminded of something a friend told him some time ago, the fact that the new controlling group owner of the old theater wants to demolish it to build a new building."

Thanks.
