I wish the form proper English sentences about computing. Would you please help me with them?

1. A firewall is a program that can quickly block unauthorized accesses to your computer?

See above.

I wouldn't use can. I would say:

A firewall is a program that blocks access to your computer.

A firewall is a program that blocks access to your computer.

That loses the important information that it's unauthorised access that's denied. It sounds as if even you can't get in!

The original sentence doesn't use unauthorized. I would understand my sentence to mean that, but it does make sense to include the word.

I wouldn't think anybody would block access to themselves, so that didn't occur to me.

I'm not a computer expert, but I have heard of firewalls, and I know what they do. (Apparently, they got the idea for the word from structures designed to prevent the spread of real fires.)

Taken from post #1: A firewall is a program that can quickly block unauthorized accesses to your computer?

A program that blocks access to the computer.

Sorry. My mistake. I still wouldn't use can. It's not a program that can do it. It's a program that does it.

A firewall is a program that blocks unauthorized access to your computer.

I wouldn't use any adverbs.

But don't they fail sometimes? So can't they do it sometimes?
