Dear Native English-speaking Teachers,

Do the following two sentences mean the same? :


"I am a player in the school football team."

"I am on the school football team."

If yes, do the following three also mean the same?

"I am a football player in the school team."

"I am at the school football team."

"I am in the school football team."

"I am with the school football team."

"On the team" is the correct preposition.

I play in the school football team. : British English
I play for the school football team. : Both.
