Hi, can someone please check the following sentences? Thank you.

Long summary
Dewi brings her mother to Mecca to reflect on herself and to forget her lover Adam. There she meets with Reyhan, a young man from Indonesia who is also the leader of an NGO. Dewi is fascinated by Reyhan's personality. When she returns to Malaysia, Adam persuades Dewi to return to him and get married. They secretly marry but their marriage is alleged to be illegal. Reyhan comes in search of Dewi and brings Dewi to Bandung, Indonesia to keep her away from Adam.

Short summary
Dewi meets Reyhan, a volunteer during her visit to Mecca and is smitten by his personality. Upon her return she gets married with her ex-lover, Adam but eventually Reyhan comes in search of her.

Dewi brings her mother to Mecca to reflect on herself and to forget her lover Adam.

Who does the reflection and forget her lover - Dewi or her mother?

I would add a comma after Indonesia and Mecca.

Dewi wants to forget about her lover but she brings along her mother to Mecca.

The first line very confusing?

NOT A TEACHER

To avoid any ambiguity, you might consider:

"With her mother, Dewi goes to Mecca to reflect on herself and to forget her lover, Adam."

NOTE: I suggest a comma after the word "lover." If there is no comma, it seems to imply that Dewi has more than one lover at the same time.
