I need your help.

a little = a small amout,

too = more than ~


a little too?
----

for example, "It's a little too hot for comfort."

What does a little too mean in the above?​
 
It is too hot, but only by a small amount.

It was a little too chilly to go out in only my short sleeves, but with a light sweater, it was perfect.
