[General] a few connotations of "strange"

Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to revise the following sentences?

It was strange to hear a new English expression.

I was strange to a new English expression

Another English expression was strange to me.

This was a new strange experience in my practice.

Are they all strange to your subtle ear? Or maybe you will look strange at me?

Can you spare me another two minutes in order to share with me your concept about the exact translation of the word “strange” in the following sentence?

I don’t like to write with a strange fountain-pen.

In my humble opinion there are four different versions at least.

I don’t like to write with a strange fountain-pen.
A strange fountain pen has the same meaning as #1 above - the pen is unfamiliar, odd, unusual, or rare, insofar as your experience is concerned.

I agree with your standard interpretation of the"strange".

What do you think about the following versions?

1. somebody else’s (this is another's fountain-pen)

2. antiquated, old-fashioned, dated, disused, derelict
3. foreign brands
